Students at Elizabethtown Area High School hosted the Annual Mini-THON on March 16th and 17th, raising over $85,000 for the Four Diamonds Fund. Four Diamonds uses the donations to fund pediatric cancer research and pay medical bills for children suffering from cancer. The club raised more money than the previous year and met the $85,000 goal. Advisor Mrs. Secor said that students “this year exceeded [her] expectations.”
As he battled cancer, Christopher Millard, an Elizabethtown Area School District student, wrote a story about a heroic knight armed with the four diamonds of Courage, Wisdom, Honesty and Strength. After his death in 1972, his parents, Charles and Irma, founded the Four Diamonds Fund in his memory. Comments are closed.
