As a staple for family fun for the past 23 years, Cherry Crest Farms is one of the most popular fall attractions in Lancaster County. The twenty-five acre farm has a smorgasbord of activities, the most popular of which is the corn maze. This is a definite stop-by for anybody in the area.
-Flinchbaugh’s Farmer’s Market, York, PA
This gem, located right outside of York in the town of Hellam, is one where many have made pleasant memories. The quaint farmer’s market is best suited for a lowkey Sunday exploration. The market is home to many homemade, homegrown, and local goods. Occasional vendors, festivals, and activities are available as well. Apple picking, pumpkin searching, and different types of self-manned produce are available to visitors. The market is also home to a corn maze, usually resembling different shapes.
-Field of Screams, Manheim, PA
One of the biggest local attractions of the fall season, Field of Screams has became a local legend for folks looking for a thrill. The large property takes on all sorts of thrillingly fun activities such as a haunted hayride, two haunted houses, a haunted wood area, and much more. The attraction will send all sorts of chilling emotions throughout your body, making this place a definite go-to for local thrillseekers.
-Renaissance Faire, Manheim, PA
The Renaissance Faire, loved by many, is a marvellous opportunity to get into the Halloween spirit. Visitors are encouraged to dress up in a Shakespearean-like manner, as the theme of the faire is England-based. The staff participate as well and make the experience very authentic. Throughout the day, there are various events to attend, such as human chess matches and jousts. There are also Shakespearean favorites, performed for the audience’s enjoyment, like “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Romeo and Juliet.” Definitely stop by for the day if you’re looking for some family fun!
-Masonic Village Farmers Market and Orchards, Elizabethtown, PA
This autumnal property houses one-hundred years of family-oriented traditions, being a local go-to for fall admirers. Located in the Masonic Village property in Elizabethtown, PA, customers can experience Masonic’s marvelous orchards, seasonal produce in the markethouse, locally-baked goods, and on-porch creamery. Freshly-picked apples are the seasonal trend, so be sure to stop and get your hands on some autumn treats! The market is open from Memorial Day until the end of October.
