This musical season, the EAHS theater department will welcome Shrek: The Musical to the annual spring musical lineup. Shrek: The Musical follows the life of a light-green ogre who is forced into a secluded swamp due to the ridicule he has faced all of his life. Despite his isolated location, Shrek is met with newcomers who happen to be the faces of many fairy-tale characters, all of whom have been kicked out of Lord Farquaad’s kingdom. Annoyed by his new neighbors, Shrek vows to win their homes back in order to return to his peaceful tranquility. The EAHS theater production, running from March 12th-14th, will feature Claire Fritz (12th grade) as Fiona, Jake Sevcik (12th grade) as Shrek, Adam Evans (12th grade) as Donkey, Carter Rutkowski (12th grade) as Farquaad, Mac Smith (12th grade) as Dragon, and Keli Georges (10th grade) as Pinocchio. Tickets are currently available via showtix4u.com and will be sold at the box office.
