Mueller’s Flower Shop representatives Warren Mueller and Cori Shetter came to Rebecca Booth’s classroom to build holiday centerpieces with the students. The day was based on fun and creativity as much as it was influential, as the speakers talked about their jobs as florists.
Mueller’s Flower Shop is a locally-owned business in Elizabethtown. It has a large assortment of flowers for almost every occasion. Mr. Mueller visited the class, bringing “several different types of flowers,” Mrs. Booth explained. “The students were each able to kind of make their own unique flower arrangement for a centerpiece for their Christmas table.” When asked if the students seemed to enjoy the activity, Alexis Briel (11) replied with a “Yeah!” from across the room.
Mrs. Booth also explained how one student particularly enjoys flowers, making this visit a very memorable experience for her. Not only did the students have fun, but they also learned about florists and what kinds of things they do. “It was beneficial,” said Mrs. Booth.
