He taught at Palmyra High School for 13 and a half years, and to EAHS this year in order to work closer to home, as he has two sons going to school in the district.
At the high school level, he has “experience teaching Wood Manufacturing, Metal Manufacturing, Digital Photography, Robotics, Engineering, Bioengineering, Electronics, and Digital Design.” His further education includes an M.Ed in Technology Education from Millersville University (2013) and an M.S.E. in STEM Education from Lebanon Valley College (2017). He also has several awards to his name, including the 2006 Henry J. Kaufman Award in Metal Technology and the 2006 J. Farmer describes himself as a “maker at heart,” both inside and outside the classroom; he even has a “full blacksmith shop” at his house. Beyond creating, he also enjoys many outdoor activities including camping, hunting, and fishing.
