Thanks to Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Corrie Baker, Katie Bomboy, Rebecca Epps, and Gracie Mummau, the school now has a permanent splash of color on its walls.
The new mural off the main lobby was originally the brainchild of Mummau and Baker; Bomboy and Epps joined in to help shortly after administrators approved the project and provided the necessary materials. Health and Physical Education teacher Shane Kargo volunteered to act as faculty advisor for the enterprise.
Bomboy is the artist of the group, Mummau and Baker researched proper colors and overall messages for the mural, and Epps helped paint. The colors of the mural itself are proven to help improve the mood of those who see it. The seniors see it as their final mark on the school before they leave, a colorful goodbye that will help inspire and comfort future generations of students.
