I feel the need to give a quick preface regarding the following advice. As with anything being told to you by a seventeen-year-old, emotionally-charged child, please take it with a grain of salt, and remember that everyone’s experience is different. Two weeks ago, the original Marvel Avengers saga came to a close with the release of the final movie: Avengers Endgame. From thrilling action scenes to heartbreaking losses, this movie is sure to grab the attention of everyone, whether they are a hardcore Marvel fan or new to the Avengers universe.

We don’t learn about the slavery that still exists in America, even here in our area. It is called human trafficking. It isn’t as obvious as a slave auction in the middle of town, but it still happens all around us. We just need to know what to look for. So, why don’t we talk about modern slavery in schools? We learn about slavery as if it is history, but no one tells us that the work of abolitionists is not finished.

Captain Marvel is a refreshing change from the conventional male superhero movies. This action-packed movie follows the story of a woman who has found herself in the middle of an intergalactic war. As the war continues to progress, Captain Marvel struggles with her identity as she experiences flashbacks from a different life. As she finds out more about her past, she learns to control her superpowers and help end the war.
![]() By: Sarah Rhine Staff Writer On March 8, the Elizabethtown Area High School held its annual Mini-Thon with the theme “One Small Step for Etown, One Giant Leap for a Cure.” Mini-Thon donated $85,766.88 in total to the Four Diamonds Fund, which helps fight pediatric cancer.
Two of Elizabethtown Area High School’s basketball players recently broke the 1,000 point barrier. Marena Lonardi (12) first broke 1,000 points against Lebanon, becoming the first girl from Elizabethtown to break 1,000 points since Sarah Fairbanks in 2012. Larry Locker (12) would break 1,000 points eight days later against Milton Hershey.
