One reason people love this movie so much is the nostalgia and “hype” of this film. A lot of the people watching this movie have been with the MCU for its past 22 films, and to see them all come together in one big finale was something most audiences wanted. This movie truly delivers in this aspect, as the film showcases all of the storylines coming to a close while also opening up new storylines for the future.
Another way the movie appeals to its audience is the final hour, which is basically one long action scene. This final hour involves a fight between Thanos and the Avengers as they attempted to stop his final effort. The cinematography and CGI truly immerse the audience in the battle, as it is visually beautiful. Every Avenger gets his or her chance to confront Thanos, showing the audience how truly devastated they were after the events of Infinity War. On top of pure action, this final scene is an emotional rollercoaster, driving the viewer between excitement and then sadness.
Despite its action-heavy focus, however, the movie doesn’t lose sight of its main six Avengers, making sure to spend time on each one of their character arcs. We get to see how they have all grown as people throughout these past MCU films, and the dialogue, as well as the connections between these six, are incredibly heartfelt. The movie uses different scenes of emotional pain to show how closely bonded these characters have become throughout the saga. This was shown in the consistently-used motif of trust brought up throughout the dangerous confrontations in which the characters engaged. Thanks to the dialogue and characterization, these six characters are used spectacularly in Avengers Endgame.
This movie is an amazing ride of emotions that truly provides a perfect ending for what we had in the MCU previously, as well as providing a perfect beginning for the new MCU to come. We rate Avengers: Endame 5/5.
